Are we promoting Illness or Wellness

Why is health care driven mainly to treat illness when much more could be done to prevent illness?

Good food and drink, clean air and water will keep us well, we need drugs and surgery only if we are ill

Why don't we spend on preventing illnesses more and save staggering costs spent on treating the same illness over and over again?

Do we need to depend so much on drugs and surgery for our health, if we think that health is our responsibility?

Why do we wait until we are chronically ill, when we can prevent and maintain being well?

Why aren't we researching on our food & drink as much as on drugs which is needed only if we are sick?

Why don't we think that health is our responsibility and avoid complications, errors, negligence costing lives and money?

Why aren't doctors educated on nutrition and prevention of illness, so that they can teach how to maintain wellness?

Is health care in the business of wellness or in the business of illness?.

Why is wellness seen as alternative health, and not as preventing ill health?

Could the answer lies in misunderstandings, misinterpretations, misrepresentation, misinformation and  misdirection of resources?
